A Golden Princess by Anna del C. Dye

Interview with author Anna del C. Dye

1. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
I would be a rainbow-colored crayon. Because all the kids would love to use me. I would bring brightness and color to any gloomy day of the year.
2. Which character did you enjoy writing the most in A Golden Princess and why?
Princess Nyala, the main character in A Golden Princess, my new book. She is quiet, a thinker, yet humble, but when put to the test, it almost crushes her but she comes out on top.
She is pretty much like me, a fighter, though neither of us knew it until we were bent by the hard winds of life and didn't break under its force.
3. Who would win a fight between Spiderman and Batman?
Batman. He is more mature and has more toys to protect him. He thinks before he acts and uses all his knowledge to win. He's been at it far longer than Spidey.
Spiderman is still young and sometimes cocky and rushes to fight without thinking of the consequences. It could be said, more hormonal than Batman.
5. Why are manholes round?
All the sewer pipes are round, so it make sense that the doors to them are round. It would be weird to have a round pipe with a square opening. Doable, but why? You would have to figure a way to fill the part of the square that doesn't fit the round... A waste of time and resources, if you ask me.
6. What is your next project?
In writing: "Twin Legend," my next Royal Romance book for year 2018.
At home: A 7' couch that we need to re-upholster
At Church: Relief Society Birthday Dinner in March
Exercise: Use weights in Zumba
Thank you so much for your time and this great interview. I had lots of fun answering the questions.

Small for her age, Princess Nyala is determined to be noticed and someday rule with fairness and valor in Kaloma. All changes when she looks upon the stars and they predict her accident. After she awakens to a broken body, her father takes to his goblet and she steps into power in her kingdom .

Her father said that no man would choose a half-broken princess. Is that how Prince Nicolao sees her after the accident? Her heart is unsure and out of fear she keeps him away to avoid a broken heart.
As soon the other kingdoms in the land determine the predicament of the Royal House of Kaloma, they too will prey on her vulnerability to steal her kingdom. She will have to confront new foes or lose it all.

  1. You're right - Batman would beat Spiderman. (Although one is DC and the other Marvel, so it would be the battle of the century.)
    Congratulations, Anna!

    1. Thank you Alex. That would be the Battle of the century for sure. But that is ok, I am not one to shied from battles. (I have seven books in my Elf Series that have battles in them)

  2. haha that was a fun interview. Yeah, Batman would have the upper hand as Spiderman can be far too cocky.
