We did it! We're in the new house! It's been insane, and my back is seriously angry with me, but what the hay, right? Pictures to come later.
Second Meandering ...
In spite of the move, hubby and I were able to have our little combined anniversary/Valentine's Day getaway by attending a Regency Romance Ball. It was so fun! The hotel was full of people in Regency period clothing.
They had some instructions on how to do Country Dances of the period. Think Pride & Prejudice.
And this was actually research for the Victorian time travel series I'm writing with three other authors.
What did you do this weekend?
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find Regency clothes, anyway?
Costume shops or you can sew them or have them sewn. Hubby is wearing a tux with tails and a cravat. I had my dress made (got the pattern online) a couple of years ago for an Austen Tea I attended.
DeleteWoo for the move--enjoy the new house!
ReplyDeleteI am--I'll just enjoy it more when I can find important stuff. Like my shoes. :D
DeleteCongrats on getting in, even with a little back pain. Sure looks like fun was had indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to decide if the "little back pain" is really little. I'm afraid it's time to visit the doc again.
DeleteWow! Congratulations on the move. And what fun to get to play dress-up!
ReplyDeleteIt's the ultimate Cosplay!
DeleteYes! Congrats on the house and the party Donna.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteCongrats on your new house, Donna! So glad you're finally in your new home. And the dance looks like it was fun.
ReplyDeleteIf I get to go again, I hope to be able to stay longer. :D
DeleteI so wish I could go to those...with my husband. I guess I need to get one going down here.
ReplyDeleteI also can't wait to see pics of your new house. How nice that would be as well. You are just having a stellar year!
ReplyDeletelove the costumes :) For a second I thought you were celebrating moving in by organising a ball!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your move! Love the Regency Ball idea. I'm sure it was a blast.
ReplyDeleteYay, you're in the house! And I love the picture from the ball. How sweet and romantic.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new house! I'm excited for mine too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes, by the way.
