IWSG - May 2016

Click here to find out more and to see a list of other IWSG blogs.
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

I've had a lot of angst lately because my real life is so busy that it's interfering with my writing. Even when I have time to write, my head's just not in it. And I have two deadlines approaching. Panic!

What do you do to get yourself in the groove?

Don't forget ...

(US) Mother's Day is Sunday, and it's a fine time to be looking for ebooks for the ladies in your life. This year we have 17 authors participating with enough books that we've split it into genres on the webpage.

To sweeten the pie, we're having a giveaway with the prize being a $50 Amazon gift card.

Please stop buy and check out the books on sale and sign up! Click here

  4. You described my life to a tee in those few short words. I want to write, but life doesn't give me much time and then I sit there staring at the page. I hope we both get back into the groove soon.

At least you have a deadline. That often helps me get into things. I work better under the pressure of deadlines. Just take things one step at a time. I've found as I get things checked off my list, my confidence grows. The other thing I'm trying to be better about is taking care of my own physical, mental and emotional health. I actually blogged about my goals in those areas today.

Good luck meeting your goals and finding your love of writing again!

  5. Sometimes just getting up and getting away from the computer helps. Change of scene. Change in the way my brain functions. Change of pace. All of that helps me back into the groove.

  6. Two? Wow, cheering for you. Taking a drive away from the house for an hour or two helps me sometimes. Wishing you much luck and success.

    Happy IWSG Day!
