Do you ever have a chance to meet up for social events with other writers?
Saw Morgan's post last night - must be fun to get so many together like that!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun. No, I don't a bunch of writer friends here to do that with. But I do have a friend who I go to lunch with sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI belong to a writer's group. And we see each other three times a month. It's wonderful to have someone to share your writing journey with who understand everything from the emotions you go through to the problems we face.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
I am fortunate that my writer's group meets once a week, and we are rather social. Last week, we had a nice dinner with the group at the house of one of the members, which was quite nice. And we didn't bore my wife by talking about writing all night!
ReplyDeleteNot at someone's home like this, but I've been out to a restaurant with some local writer friends. This reminds me that it's time we organized another night out!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! You were with Carolyn. I so HEART her. She's one of the first bloggers I met when I began my online journey. Thank you for sharing the photos and this post.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hey, I recognize some of those people!
ReplyDeleteMy local writers groups have get togethers, but I usually only go to the conferences once or twice a year. It is great to meet people in person, though, and I love connecting with other writers and talking shop. :)
Looks like lots of fun was had an nope, none around my pad.
ReplyDeleteEeeeeee!!!!! So. Much. Fun.
ReplyDelete:D
Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteFun! Like a few of the commentators here, I have an in-person writing group that meets twice a month (usually). It's my first in-person group. We started at the beginning of the year and it's amazing how quickly they become a lifeline!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. Wonderful to get together. When I met Arlee Bird in LA it was great and what a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
It was so nice to meet you in person! What a great night and it was so fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's cool seeing all those people I recognize. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! It seemed like you had fun! It's nice seeing your faces!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing I should vacation in Utah in the near future and meet you guys! Online makes us so close! Thanks to Blogger!
I'm so jealous of my Utahn friends! It looks like you guys had a blast. :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be so much fun! I get together with writers at my crit group once a month, but we've never had a party before...
ReplyDeleteGreen with envy. Thin looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love getting together with fellow writers! What a cool gathering.

I saw this on Morgan's site. I think writer get-togethers are so cool. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.
ReplyDeleteI love getting together with other writers. This year for nano, I went to a few local events. It's the first time I've done that, and it was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I finally found your blog Donna! What a great night we had. It was so fun to meet everyone. We totally need to do that again! =D
