Thought for the Week - June 12th

What I've been up to.

We saw a couple of movies last week. I chose A Dog's Journey which is delightfully touching and sentiment and hubby chose Godzilla which is full of action and terrible destruction. I get to choose next, and it's going to be the live-action Aladdin. I've heard good things about it.

Have you done anything fun lately?

  1. Our grown nephew is visitng us for a few days, which is great fun for us. We love him to pieces, and we haven't seen him for a few years. He'll be going to a poetry reading with me tomorrow.

  2. Godzilla was the last movie we saw. Bring on the carnage!

  3. I cried myself silly with A Dog's Life, don't know if I will be brave enough for Dog's Journey!

    1. It was so touching. It had some tough moments but a very satisfying ending.

  4. What a great idea to swap movies. Right now, my family votes and I never win. So far this summer, we've seen Avengers, Godzilla, Ma, the new X-Men move, and John Wick. Not a single poignant story in the whole line up.

  5. The John Wick movies were awesome with like the realistic killer moves and reasoning which justified it all. I figure some of it was CGI had to be but so much better than matrix. While the matrix is good, the cool lady in black whizzing through the air, I mean c'mon, so anyway thumbs up for JW.

    1. My sons were telling me about John Wick. Sounds too violent for me.

  6. Both can sure help grow and keep us alive. A Dog's Journey I'm sure I'll watch as I enjoyed the first.

  7. I'd like to see Avengers End Game. I'll wait for Godzilla to come to NetFlix.
