IWSG - June 2019

Optional Question this month:
Of all the genres you read and write, which is your favorite to write in and why?

That's a tough one since I read and wish to write in many genres. I enjoy any story that has characters I can love and root for, so that's important to me. If I don't care about or like the characters, I'll stop reading.

What about you?

  3. That's definitely a good point! I like to read many genres, but a story is tough to read if you don't care about the characters!

  4. Yeah, character driven tales are my thing, too. I have to have someone to root for and believe in. Or there's always the villain to hate. :)

    1. I don't always use villains. Sometimes circumstance or nature can be the antagonist.

  5. Same here. But I mostly read mysteries (tons of variances, though!). There are so many different kinds of mysteries out there that I'll never tire of finding them!

  10. I agree that characters make the story. However, that said, I like most to find those characters in either a historical novel or a mystery. I'm really hooked on both.
