Where authors unite to raise funds for Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), a nonprofit that organizes undercover operations to free many of the 2 million children being trafficked as sex slaves around the world.
Yes, I know I'm on a blog break, but I'm breaking the break for this important message.
Anyone who's followed my blog, knows I've talked before about Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) and their efforts to rescue children from child sex slavery--a travesty mildly called "sex tourism" by the federal government.
Once I heard about O.U.R., I haven't been able to the plight of children around the world who've been forced into this life out of my mind. I knew about it, and I couldn't just sit here and not do something. So, author Laura Johnston and I decided to do a fundraising campaign.
Participating authors are donating their books in exchange for donations
- Donate $20 to receive a free book from a participating author (book prizes selected at random).
- Donors of $40 or more will receive two free books, a series, or a bundle (selected at random as well).
Nearly 200 books have been donated by generous authors to help raise funds for this great cause--see the list of participating authors/books below!

ReplyDeleteI STILL cannot believe they call it "sex tourism." It sounds like a wild vacation that someone may casually regret later. NOTHING like what it really is. Thank you for explaining more about it so people can become more aware of the cause and help out.
ReplyDeleteA worthy charity, and so many awesome books for the winning. Cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for informing us of this effort--very sad stories involved, but glad to see the charity work.
