Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
I don't know that I'm feeling particularly insecure at the moment. That, of course, could change in five minutes. It's been a pretty good year for me. I released two books and a novelette, and I made myself take time to
live. That worked well, so I'll continue it.
I'm letting my NaNo project
Swing Vote, Safe Harbors #3 rest while I edit
A Season of Change, Safe Harbors #2.5. My goal is to have the novelette ready to go out some time in January or February.
How has 2014 been to you?
For fun, here's the latest video from The Piano Guys.
You've found a path of peace and balance - good for you!
ReplyDeletePeace? I'm not sure about that, Alex. Balance, perhaps.
DeleteHoly cow - 2 novels and a novelette and you still had time to enjoy yourself? I need some of that energy. Maybe I'll get some in my Christmas stocking! lol Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, one of those novels I wrote for NaNo two years ago. :D
DeleteCongrats on so much writing! I can't imagine 2 + books in a year. Here's to maintaining all that confidence into 2015.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I have so much editing to do this year.
DeleteSounds like a great year indeed. I need to get that living thing in haha
ReplyDeleteTry it, Pat. It's kind of fun. ;)
DeleteYou are so organized!
ReplyDeleteI try, anyway.
DeleteI'd love to sound more positive, but 2014 has just blown for me. Can't wait for it to be over. Ready to start anew! Love the video!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. I hope 2015 is a better year for you.
DeleteTaking time to live is so important. Good for you for having a great 2014!
ReplyDeleteI remind myself often that no one on their deathbed will wish they'd spent more time in the office.
DeleteSounds like you are ending 2014 quite well. Taking time to live life and such is definitely good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteVery good. And real life is so full of things that feed our writing.
DeleteWork on Donna. You can do it. But remember to take breaks.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I rushed like crazy to beat NaNo in 17 days so I could take a break for the rest of the month.
DeleteHope next year brings you many new books too :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I understand now what's involved in getting all those books out. ;)
DeleteThat sounds like an awesome year! I hope you have an even better one next year! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping!
DeleteCongrats on getting a ton of writing done for NaNo! That's a great early X-mas gift. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes. I have to get the first draft written before I can really work on the story.
Delete2014 was full of stresses for me. Not all bad though. I can always reinvent myself in 2015, right?
ReplyDeleteNice to hear so much worked out for you this year. Here's to another good year to come.
Yes! And I hope you like the end results, Donna
DeleteYou've had a great year. You are productive with your goals and meeting them. I had a great year too, although I'd like to spend more time promoting.
ReplyDeleteI wish promoting didn't take so much of what little time I have, but that's the nature of this beast, right?
DeleteSounds like you really had it all together this year, That's great. Thanks for the fun video.
ReplyDeleteAren't they fun?
Deletehey donna!!! glad you December is just going smooth. can't ask for anything more. can I join you? I want to ride that smooth train.
ReplyDeleteCome aboard! Now, if life would actually let it be that way.
