I went to the
iWriteNetwork writing retreat this weekend. It was a wonderful experience. Great people, informative classes, and scrumptious food. And the digs weren't too bad either.
|
This is where we held the classes. Rough life, I know. |
|
One of the open areas. |
|
Nice large kitchen for meal preparation. |
There were several common areas where people could gather to write. We had sprints, classes, a brainstorming session, prizes and even watched a movie where everyone got to figure out the
beats from
Blake Snyder's
Save the Cat.
Good luck to everyone who starts A to Z tomorrow. I'm taking a pass. Maybe next year.
That looks like an awesome place for a retreat!
ReplyDeleteHope you can join us for the Challenge next year. I believe the second one is where we met.
I believe you're right, Alex. It was so much fun. I really hope next year will be a participation year.
DeleteHow wonderful! I would love to go on a writing retreat! I was *this* close to participating in the A to Z this year but decided to pass too. Life is way too hectic right now.
ReplyDeleteThis is my third retreat, Suzie, and I've loved them all. Got so much done, met some awesome people, and made great friends.
DeleteI read 'spirits' instead of 'sprints' :)
ReplyDeleteI know where your mind was, Dezmond--at the pub!
DeleteWow, not a bad spot at all. Glad it was a grand time
ReplyDeleteI didn't mention the deer and rabbits - or the hot tub! :D
DeleteGiven the digs you had to work with, like that theater room, it must have been a "rough" time of it lol!! Glad you enjoyed yourself :-)
ReplyDeleteOur only challenge with having the classes in the theater room was there wasn't enough room for the number of people. We'll have to do something different in September.
DeleteLooks cool:) If you're going to get wiped out, it might as well be for something neat like this:)
ReplyDeleteToo right! Wonderful experience.
DeleteLooks like it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWish you could attend some time!
DeleteLooks like a relaxing and fun time.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate!
Shelly
Relaxing? Define relaxing. One gal got 20,000 words in 3 days.
DeleteLooks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe place looks beautiful--did you get anything done?
ReplyDeleteLooks luxurious. I would love to have a meeting there.
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a real RETREAT. Sounds like you had a great time.
