I once translated a saga in which the lead character became much more popular than the writer itself and I had a feeling the writer was jealous and started being vengeful towards him in the story LOL
Yikes! lol Though we're supposed to make our character suffer so they earn a good ending. Though lots of books don't have happy endings.
