Question: Other than the obvious holiday traditions, have you ever included any personal or family traditions/customs in your stories?
There's a bit of me in all my books, frequently tweaked. It's usually casually mentioned and not a big part of that
On a side note, we had to cancel our trip to Hawaii. We would have left next week, but first my hubby and now I have succumbed to a nasty chest cold. We decided it wasn't a good time to travel with an already compromised immune system.
BIG NEWS! I finished the novella for this project, and it's with my editor. As a Navy brat and an Army veteran, I'm excited to be part of this fundraiser where all preorder proceeds will go to Pets for Vets.
Sorry about your cold and vacation on hold.
ReplyDeletePets for Vets! I like that. I didn't realize you were so connected with the service. Good for you.
Better not travel anywhere now that corona virus is going wild!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
DeleteUgh...I had to cancel this year's holiday too, but not for health reasons. Sucks. Hope you both feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to reschedule your holiday! And thanks.
DeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHi, Donna!
ReplyDeleteThere's a bit of me in every one of my books as well. (My horcruxes, hahaha!).
I hope you guys feel better soon from your colds! Please take it ease--especially with the COVID19. Ugh.
Congrats on your novella!!!

Horcruxes, ha! I hope you didn't have to murder someone though. ;)
DeleteSorry you couldn't go on your trip but better if you aren't feeling good. Hope your husband and you get over this soon.
ReplyDeleteWe appreciate it.
DeleteHard luck with the holidays, still you've got Pets for Vets making an impact - you give me inspiration
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great organization!
DeletePets for Vets is seriously amazing! I love this. Congrats on finishing up the novella. I'm sure this will all be amazing. So sorry you had to cancel your trip due to illness. Hopefully, you can plan to go at a later date.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I'm proud to able to help them.
DeleteCongrats on finishing the novella! I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip, but it probably wouldn't have been any fun if you're sick, right?
ReplyDeleteEspecially with something else spreading that's dangerous for old folks who've been sick. But still ...
DeleteStinks you had to cancel your trip, but best to be safe. Congrats on the novella.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cause! I better grab a copy.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon.
Thank you! It's now the 18th and I'm stick hacking like crazy, but I do fee better.
DeleteGet well soon to you both, I hope your cold is/was just that and not the you-know-what that's stalking us all. Congrats on your novella. And that looks like an excellent fundraiser.
ReplyDeleteYou are so wise to stay home, given the pandemic situation. You can always take a special celebration trip later, when all is well again. Congratulations on finishing your novella.
