Some days you just want to give up. Even now, nearly 10 years after I decided to try to write a full-length novel (which I sold to a publisher, btw, in spite of what people tell you), I still question what the heck I'm doing in this job.Cohosts for this month are are Gwen Gardner,Doreen McGettigan, Tyrean Martinson, Chemist Ken, and Cathrina Constantiner!
So, here's a bit of inspiration to keep pressing on and to recognize that those "failures" might actually be stepping stones to something better.
I feel like that some days as well. It never goes away.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. I question myself all the time too!
ReplyDeleteLove that video. Great inspiration for all, even those quite a bit older...LOL!
Sometimes it's only in looking back that we can see the truth of our path.
DeleteI do often ask myself what am I doing in my job, but mostly because of the idiots I'm surrounded with professional :) not because I doubt my absolute genius :)))
ReplyDeleteHaha Of course!
DeleteThanks for sharing this wonderful video!
ReplyDeleteI always wonder what I am doing, both in books and in real life.
ReplyDeleteHaha I know, right?
DeleteI can totally relate. Thanks for sharing the video!
ReplyDeleteHey, if you ever stop questioning yourself, then you won't be a good writer anymore. Keep hanging in there.
ReplyDeleteTrue that!
DeleteYeah, those questions sure arise. I know the answer to my current job though. Paycheck! One and only reason.
ReplyDeleteThe golden handcuffs.
DeleteThat was inspiring. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeen there. And it can cause a whole identity crisis when you start thinking like that. Hopefully phases like this pass...
ReplyDeleteSo true. But it can be a battle some days. lol
DeleteSo often throughout my life I've felt like this. And I still do some days. Thank you for the reminder that disappointments and failures are street lights guiding my path to something better, to where I'm supposed to be. To where I can make a difference. I've read so many posts from our writing blogger community that has been together for so long like this. It seems we've all had a few years of valleys. But we're here, still together, and still plugging along. I'm glad.
