This is where I'll be heading two weeks from today. I about squeed when I realized how close it is. Gonna be spending some time with my daughter's family. The picture below was taken nearly 10 years ago and they have two more daughters.
How fun! I love Disneyland--it's especially magical with kids. (One of my clearest memories of my grandfather, who died when I was 9, is riding on Pirates of the Caribbean with him . . . )
A few years ago we bought park hopper tickets and went to 5 out of 7 parks with our family of 8 at Christmas time. We completely exhausted ourselves riding all the roller coasters and rides. We did everything from the Ghostrider at Knottsberry Farm to California Screamin' and the Tower of Terror. We also went to the beach. At the end of all this exhaustive playing, we asked the monsters what their favorite part was and they said the beach at Point Dume. Free parking and fantastic body surfing. We could have saved massive dollarage and gone to the dang beach the whole time. It was quite a memorable trip, though. My son barfed all over his sister in the line to see Goofy (not even on a coaster...rofl) and we saw something I doubt many see. We were 3rd in line after a tractor/trailer rig with a backhoe on the back going into Pasadena. When it went under an overpass, the backhoe was too tall and cracked the overpass. HUGE BOOM! Totally amazing. Luckily we got around it before the massive traffic jam. AMAZING.
I forgot to say have an amazing time and be safe...:o). We went several days and made sure we wore something the same every day so we could keep track of the 8 of us. It worked pretty well. I can't wait to hear how it goes...:o)
I've been to both and I'm going to guess that is Disneyland. You'll have fun!
