"When your heart breaks,
you choose what to fill the cracks with.
Love or hate.
But hate won't ever heal.
Only love can do that."
So I invite you to join Sarah today in looking for an opportunity to do a random act of kindness. It can be as simple as a word of encouragement.
Right now, we've got a lot of cracks to fill. I, for one, am going to fill mine with love.
I was devastated to hear about what happened in Boston! So awful. Random Acts of Kindness can't reverse what happened, but it's certainly better to let the cracks be filled with love than with hate.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to purchase a copy of Nightingale to help David out with his son's medical bills. Kindness helps keep us together in good and bad times. Much condolences to Boston. At least the bombers were found.
ReplyDeleteA little something can go a along way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, Donna. It's so true and inspirational. I'll remember it as I go through my day.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful thought - and so true. Thanks for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea. I live in the Boston-area. The support has been heartening.
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteSince someone else mentioned David McFarland's books here, I want to thank you for bringing them to my attention. I'm 2/3 of the way through 'Million Dollar Outline' and it is fantastic. So helpful. A thousand thank yous!
Will do! :)
ReplyDeleteWill see what I can do here at my zoo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great challenge. I will take it. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Personally, I always look for those opportunities.
ReplyDeleteThose words are so right. I try and do this as often as I can, but a reminder is always welcome.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous quote and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it happened a week ago. The nightmare lasted for so long.
This is a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this!! What a wonderful thing to do, and a great way to put out kindness and goodness to balance out the darkness that day caused. I am so glad I found this blog post!!

Great idea. It helps to keep us from concentrating on the bad stuff. My whole day was service. It would be feeling really cool right now except that the Hubs got angry at me for cleaning in our room...sigh. Kind of depressed now. More service.
ReplyDeleteI agree, random acts of kindness to the rescue:)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice post! And yes, a little kindness can go a long way.

I'll definitely do this. It's a great feeling to help others, they benefit, and we combat the evils out there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to put it! I'm late to the party, but I plan on doing something nice today :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late to this but what a wonderful idea. Last week was so disturbing and hard to watch, this is a great way to rebound from it. I'm going to do it for the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely post Donna. Only love will heal. Sarah's daughter is right on and you are awesome for sharing the love on your blog.
ReplyDeletewe are all in need of kindness in this world. I hate watching the news nowadays bec. of all that's happening. It would be nice to have one day with nothing but good news.
