Happy Halloween!
On a writing note, I finished the first round of edits for A Change of Plans and emailed it to my publisher for review. Hopefully, I'll be able to get through November and my NaNoWriMo project (a companion novel for Plans) before I receive the next round.
I'm launching this NaNo experience by going to a writers retreat. Can't wait! For November, with the exception of an occasional update and a couple of already scheduled posts, I'll be on hiatus this month and not checking blogs.
Have you ever attended a writing retreat? Are you doing NaNo?
We haven't had a trick-or-treater at our house in ten years! Of course, our house is a little isolated and we have no sidewalks, so it's not really Halloween-friendly to get here. Saves a lot on candy, though.
ReplyDeleteA retreat sounds like a great way to kick off NaNo. I have not gone on one, and I won't know for sure about NaNo until tomorrow. Or maybe the next day. Good luck!
We don't get many trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood, except for the people who drive their kids up and down the road, stopping in every housing development (which is a little tacky, folks). Both my girls are going to friends' houses to trick-or-treat in groups. That's the thing, now.
ReplyDeleteWe hardly get any trick-or-treaters and the weather is bad so we probably won't do it this year. Have fun at the retreat.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever been to a writing retreat but I would love to go on one someday!
ReplyDeleteWe were planning on watching Hocus Pocus tonight too. Good times.
Quite the weather, Nano not me and never been to a retreat. Hocus Pocus is a great one and they are supposedly making a crap sequel to it too.
ReplyDeleteHocus Pocus is probably my favorite Halloween movie. I don't like the gory ones. Too scary.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween and good luck with the NaNo-ing!!
I'm doing NaNo for the first time, and jealous about the retreat! Have a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteOur street is actually ideal for trick or treat, because it's a cul de sac (ie dead end). Our kids have loads of friends here - they just go round in a group with their friends and go to each others' houses. Yes, I'm going to have to stock up on sweets today!
Happy Halloween to you too.
ReplyDeleteNo NaNO for me this year. Gotta get last years project 'out the door'.
Finally, I think I'm up to it.
Enjoy yourself at the retreat - you lucky little witch, and have a blast at NaNo. I'll be thinking about you.
Happy Halloween. Sounds like a fun night. We get flooded with trick-or-treaters...just hoping I don't run out candy.
ReplyDeleteI love Gardner Village! Always have since I was a little girl... and good luck with everything, Donna! Sounds incredibly fun and full of work! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! <3 you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! Enjoy the retreat and good luck with NaNo!
ReplyDeleteA retreat is a good way to kick off NaNo!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was going to a writers retreat for NaNo! So jealous! have fun :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your edits, Donna. I am doing NaNo this year. I finished a book last year because of it. I hope to have the same success this year. Although, I don't quite know exactly where to go with it. I'll figure it out though.
