I'm about as fanatic about pirates as you are about Harry Potter, Donna! I've had my Facebook language set to pirate for over 2 years now, ye lubber! Here's how I celebrated the happy day on my blog: http://kristinbaker.blogspot.com/2011/09/monday-har-har-arr.html
So fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the link below it, too--"I Need a Time Turner"--I still haven't convinced the hubby to get me one for Christmas, MANY years in a row.

ReplyDeleteHaha! I had no idea such a thing existed!
ReplyDeleteArghh. I'll raise a glass of grog to the wee witch.
ReplyDeleteYep. Its National Talk All Piratey Day ye scallywags. And just what the heck is a scallywag? I don't know. But I'll be using it a lot today.

Who out there has tried setting their Facebook page to Pirate as a language? If you haven't, you have to try it (for as long as you can stand it.)
ReplyDeleteGo to Account Settings, edit your language selection, and choose English (pirate).
Arrrrr.
Someone else talked about pirates this morning. I missed the part about it being International Talk Like a Pirate Day!
ReplyDeleteLove the kitty!
You need a puppy pirate!
ReplyDeleteThat's why've I've been seeing "Argg" and "Matey" sprinkled across Twitter! :)
