Monday Meandering - Writing Time

First and only meandering ...

Robin Ambrose wrote a post about her writing schedule after reading what Nathan Bradford wrote about his. I thought it might be interesting to share.

I don't usually make it to my alarm going off. My internal clock wakes me about 4:50 a.m. Doesn't make any difference what time I go to bed either.

I have a Fast Metabolism appropriate snack because I need to eat 30 minutes before I can exercise. I usually do business at my desk while eating.

At 5:30 a.m. I get on the treadmill and join my fellow iWriteNetwork friends in the chatroom where we hold each other accountable for our writing sprints.

Notice the laptop. It's amazing how fast that treadmill time can go  when you're doing business and writing/editing.

Since I have a day job, I have to get ready for that and return about 5:45 p.m. Have dinner and play a couple of games of League of Legends or StarCraft2 with hubby.

Then from about 7-9 p.m. I write and/or edit. Sometimes do business. Weekends are much the same except substituting weekend chores for the day job. I do have more time to write. Usually.

What about you? What's your daily writing routine like?

Just for Fun

Nathan Bransford had this video on his post yesterday. A friend on Facebook told me about the making of video. Together they were just too cool not to share. I love to see amazing creativity at work. And work is the key word. Now that I'm doing this writing thingy, and I realize how many hours go into the making of a book, it makes me feel bad when I blow through a novel in a day.
