Second Meandering ...

I found it necessary to step back from the Swing Vote edit this week to work on the timeline. One challenge is that I have to make the things that happen fit in with the state's election laws. It's actually been a help rather than a hindrance. It gives me very specific guidelines.

I wanted June 7th (the last day candidates for municipal election can file) to fall on a Friday, so I found which year that happens in, and I've got my next 90 days to calendar the different scenes. It also has shown me where I need to provide some other scenes in between.

Now to get this all on Scrivener ...

Fourth Meandering ...

The house continues to move along. We've been working on wiring (part of the sweat equity the contractor's letting us do) for electricity, Internet, and lighting. This is a picture of one of my sons who's been helping install the canned lighting. This is the kitchen.

A funny (in the future but not right now) thing happened. We'd ordered the appliances and set them for delivery when we expected to be done--ninety days away. 

Um ...

Things have taken longer than we'd hoped. So,  yeah. They tried to deliver them Friday. We'd completely forgotten about that, and Home Depot didn't bother to call and let us know they were on their way. Hubby had to make a mad dash to get a storage unit.

I kept the girl on the swing because she fits Maggie's story perfectly, though I did add flowers to the swing. The rest has been changed completely.  This is the new cover for Unbelievable! It's a real change. I feel this cover fits the story so much better. Lilah feels trapped by her domineering father and his demands. She desperately wants to break free...can't tell you anymore or I'll spoil the story  I feel this new cover portrays Lilah and what she is going through in a much stronger way, and it seems to fit in better with the other covers. While I loved the old cover, and had a huge say in its design, (Thank you again, Paul) it seemed out of place with book one & three's covers. This one holds the same "feel," if you will.

Monday Meanderings

No movies seen this week. Bummer,

Got family visiting this week (yay!), and we've been searching for a good locale to build/buy our retirement homes. Hubby's brother and sister-in-law, the ones we went on the cruise with last January. But back to future retirement. Dang, but homes are expensive. I doubt I'd be able to afford to live in my city if we hadn't bought when we did. Kind of depressing.

So, I wanted something funny to share. Jeanne Robertson has a great sense of humor. Notice how mocking she can be. But this one makes me laugh out loud every time.

It's well worth watching to the end.
