Happy Memorial Day

It’s Memorial Day weekend here in the States.

While many people spend this time visiting cemeteries and remembering loved ones, I believe it’s  also important to pause and reflect on the true purpose of the holiday. Memorial Day was created as a time to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we can gather freely with family, enjoy a long weekend, or just take a moment to breathe in peace. 

However you’re spending this weekend, I hope it includes a moment of quiet gratitude for the men and women who never came home.
